Pentru ca ultima catelusa luata de noi in adapost impreuna cu cei sapte pui ai ei, nu parea sa se simta foarte bine, am dus-o la un control si din pacate testul pentru dirofilarie a iesit pozitiv.

Adapostul nostru se afla pe un camp si majoritatea cainilor au aceasta problema datorata numarului foarte mare de tantari din zona respectiva.
Pentru tratarea lor avem nevoie de sustinere financiara. Cainii sunt tratati acum cu Doxiciclina si Ivermectina, pe perioade foarte lungi de ordinul anilor.
Medicamentul specific bolii care ar rezolva problema intr-un timp mai scurt se numeste Immiticide, este foarte scump si din acest motiv imposibil de procurat.
Testele si tratamentul pentru ei inseamna un efort financiar de proportii. Avem in grija peste 170 de caini si mai mult ca sigur majoritatea au dirofilarii.

Our shelter is located in a field and most dogs have this problem due to the large number of mosquitoes in the area.
