The ROBI Association invites you Monday, April 13, 2009 between the hours of 12:30 and 16:30 in front of Bucharest City Hall, in a show of support for the only measures capable of solving the problem of homeless dogs and cats. Sorin Oprescu, the Mayor General, understood the situation related to this problem and chose the option most beneficial to the citizens of Bucharest. He is also the first mayor in Romania who wishes to solve this problem. Guess who opposed the ONG proposal that matches the intentions of the Mayor? Precisely those who should have supported it: the general councilmen.

 

Q: Do you have an idea who stands to benefit from the presence of homeless animals in the streets?

A: Those responsible for the management of homeless dogs.

Raspuns: – Pentru ca exista legi ferme referitoare la inmultirea cainilor cu stapan.

Vizitati www.protectiaanimalelor.ro si veti constata ca in aceste state, animalele de companie nu au drepul de a se inmulti, proprietarii fiind OBLIGATI sa-si sterilizeze animalele de companie, caini si pisici inca din luna a patra de viata. La noi este permisa inmultirea lor pentru ca niste nemernici de primari si nu doar ei ,au enorm de castigat din gestionarea lor.

Noi cei de la Robi ii rugam pe cei care nu iubesc animalele si nu vor sa le vada pe strazi sa sprijine actiunile noastre deoarece ele au drept scop, stoparea abandonului din proprietate , pe domeniul public, micsorand in felul acesta nr. animalelor fara stapan si desigur marind confortul din acest punct de vedere al celor care doresc sa traiasca fara riscul de a fi muscati de caini. Am renuntat la 10 ani din viata noastra incercand sa explicam autoritatilor , inclusiv fostului primar al Brailei , Cibu, ca trebuie sa ia aceste masuri. Fostul primar a fost incantat de ceea ce am spus noi, dar dupa ce am plecat a preferat sa uite ce a promis ca va face si a permis in continuare proprietarilor de caini sa ii inmulteasca dupa voia sufletului si mai apoi sa-i abandoneze. Daca nu veti face un efort sa intelegeti ca noi Robi si dumneavoastra cei muscati de caini avem un scop comun, adica acela de a nu mai vedea caini si pisici fara stapan, n-o sa rezolvam nimic. Voi o sa continuati sa va certati pe internet, iar nemernicii se vor imbogati pe seama noastra , adica a prostilor de romani, in opinia lor.

In data de 13 la orele 12:30 la Primaria Capitalei este posibil sa intre pe ordinea de zi hotararea de consiliu referitoare la controlul inmultirii cainilor .Noi vom picheta PMB la aceasta data si avem nevoie de cat mai multi oameni care sa fie alaturi de noi. Primarul General Sorin Oprescu a inteles ca trebuie sa-si oblige concetatenii sa-si sterilizeze animalele si sa le inregistreze intr-o baza de date, dar cand a fost supusa votului, aceasta hotarare a fost negata de consilieri, care s-au opus cu vehementa identificarii animalelor si inregistrarii lor cat si a sterilizarii obligatorie a acestora.

Daca vreti sa nu mai vedeti animale fara stapan trebuie sa aflati ca exista o singura solutie (indiferent ca unii o numesc buna iar altii rea ) (orice alta „solutie nu reprezinta de fapt nicio solutie ci doar minciuni, dezinformare si interese obscure).

• identificarea cainilor si pisicilor cu stapan,
• inscrierea lor intr-o baza de date unica la nivel national si
• sterilizarea cainilor si pisicilor cu sau fara stapan, mai mari de 4/6 luni, cu exceptia cainilor cu drept de monta, a cainilor utilitari si a celor a carei interventie chirurgicala nu este posibila din punct de vedere medical,
• reteritorializarea cainilor fara stapan, cu exceptia celor cu probleme de comportament care vor ramane in adaposturile de stat pana la adoptie.

Orice alte solutii in afara celor de mai sus nu vor duce la rezolvarea definitiva a situatiei cainilor si pisicilor fara stapan. Alte „solutii ” gasite de edili, doar vor permite celor care s-au imbogatit pe seama gestionarii animalelor fara stapan, s-o faca in continuare.

NU UITATI FAPTUL CA EXISTA ATAT DE MULTI CAINI SI PISICI ABANDONATE SE DATORAEAZA STRICT AUTORITATILOR CARE NU VOR SA IA MASURI PENTRU CONTROLUL INMULTIRII ACESTOR ANIMALE AFLATE IN PROPRIETATE PRIVATA.

Nu-i amintim pe cei iresponsabili care isi lasa animalele sa faca pui si mai apoi ii abandoneaza pe domeniul public. Acestia nu au nicio vina, sunt doar niste oameni iresponsabili. Vina o poarta cei responsabili adica cei care au puterea de a-i opri pe acesti iresponsabili si totusi n-o fac.

De ce, ne intrebam?

• ori sunt incompetenti,
• ori au alte interese.

In opinia noastra cea de-a doua varianta este cea corecta.

Daca vreti sa va vedeti copii jucandu-se in siguranta pe strazi, alergand cu rolele sau mergand pe bicicleta, va rugam sa fiti alaturi de noi, sprijinind masurile cerute de noi. Daca nu va exista un control al inmultirii acestor animale, veti avea parte vesnic de prezenta lor pe strazi. Oricat de neiubitori de animale ati fi, nu cred ca va puteti stresa copilul vazand un caine care agonizeaza dupa ce a fost otravit. Intre copii si animale exista o relatie pe care adultii de multe ori nu o inteleg. Inca o data va rugam sa fiti alaturi de noi, cei care cerem cu vehementa sa fie controlata inmultirea animalelor de companie. Va multumim anticipat pentru sprijin!

Chiar daca vi se pare absurd, ca o asociatie de protectie a animalelor cere sprijinul celor care urasc animalele si nu vor sa le vada pe strazi, aceasta se datoreaza faptului ca multi dintre cei care pretind ca iubesc animalele nu sunt capabili sa inteleaga ca trebuie sa le controleze inmultirea.
Totodata ii cerem directoarei Administratiei pentru Supravegerea Animalelor, d-nei Simona Panaitescu sa-si dea demisia, sau altfel spus cerem Primarului General si Consilierilor Generali sa renunte cat mai curand la serviciile directoarei ASA , care in opinia noastra a adus doar deservicii primariei, implicit bucurestenilor.

Va rugam sa faceti cunoscut abonatilor dumneavoastra prin canalele specifice de presa cele mentionate mai sus.

Q: Why in the US or Canada and other places are there no homeless dogs in the streets?

A: Because of firm laws regarding the reproduction of homeless dogs.

 

Please visit www.protectiaanimalelor.ro and you will see how in these countries, companion animals can not multiply because their owners are OBLIGATED to spay/neuter them, both dogs and cats starting as young as 4 months of age. In our country, animals are allowed to reproduce because irresponsible mayors (and not just them), have much to gain from the management of strays.

 

Those of us here at ROBI ask that those who do not love animals and do not wish to see them on the streets support our actions, because they are intended to stop animals from being abandoned and dumped from private properties into the public domain, thus reducing the number of homeless animals, and of course increasing safety for those who wish to live without the risk of being bitten by dogs. We’ve invested 10 years of our lives in trying to explain to the authorities, including the former mayor of Braila (Cibu), that these measures must be taken. The former mayor was delighted with our suggestions, however, after we left, he chose to forget what he promised to do and continued to allow dog owners to let their animals reproduce to their heart’s content, and then abandon them. If you will not make an effort to understand that ROBI and you, those bitten by dogs, have a common goal, namely that of no longer seeing dogs and cats without owners, we will not solve anything. You will continue to argue online, and those who don’t care will continue to make money at our expense, in their view at the expense of the stupid Romanian people. 

 

On the 13th at 12:30, at City Hall, it is possible that the council decision regarding dog population control be made part of the daily agenda. We will rally on this issue and need the support of as many people as possible. Mayor General Sorin Oprescu understood that he must require citizens to spay/neuter their animals and register them, however when this resolution was presented for a vote, it was turned down by the councilmen who vehemently opposed the tagging/identification and registration of animals, as well as mandatory sterilization.

 

If you no longer wish to see homeless animals, you need to understand that there is only one solution (even if some agree or disagree), as any other solution is not an option but involves lies, misinformation and obscure interests.

 

– identification/tagging of dogs and cats who have owners

– registration of animals who have owners into a national database

– the spaying/neutering of dogs and cats, homeless or not, starting at 4/6 months of age, with the exception of dogs with a pedigree, working dogs and those for whom surgical intervention is not possible due to medical reasons

– the relocation of homeless dogs, with the exception of those with behavioral problems who will remain in state managed shelters until adoption

 

Any other solutions other than those outlined above will not lead to definitively solving the homeless dogs and cats problem. Other so-called solutions offered by „city fathers” will only continue to allow those who profited from stray dog management to continue doing so.

 

DON’T FORGET THAT PRESENCE OF SO MANY STRAY DOGS AND CATS IS THE FAULT OF THE AUTHORITIES WHO REFUSE TO TAKE MEASURES TO CONTROL THE POPULATION OF ANIMALS PRESENT ON PRIVATE PROPERTY WHO ARE UNDER PRIVATE OWNERSHIP.

 

We do not focus blame on those who are irresponsible and allow their companion animals to breed and then abandon them in the public domain. It is not their fault, they are just irresponsible. The fault here lies with those who are in charge, namely those who have the power to stop irresponsible people and yet refuse to do it.

 

We ask ourselves why?

– are they incompetent?

– do they have other interests?

 

In our opinion, the second option applies.

 

If you wish to see children playing safely in the streets, running, rollerskating or biking, please join us in supporting the measures we are asking for. Without population control for these animals, you will always have them in the streets. As much as you might not love animals, it is difficult to imagine that you would willingly subject your children to the horror of seeing a dog in agony after being poisoned. There is a special relationship between animals and children that adults don’t understand. Again, we ask that you please support us as we vehemently ask for population control on behalf of companion animals. Thank you in advance for your support!

 

It might seem absurd that an association for the protection of animals would ask for support from those who hate animals and do not wish to see them in the street. However, keep in mind that the stray animal problem is a consequence of many animal lovers being incapable of understanding that they must not allow these animals to breed. 

 

At the same time, we ask Ms. Simona Panaitescu, the director of the Administration for Animal Supervision to resign. Stated in a different way, we ask the Mayor General and the General Councilmen to forego the services of the ASA director as soon as possible, as she has, in our opinion, brought only disservice to City Hall, and thus to the citizens of Bucharest.
