Caz special. Labus are nevoie de ajutorSpecial case. Labus needs help

Labus a fost preluat de noi pentru a investiga ‘rana care apare in fiecare an’ de care ne-a spus stapana lui. 

Dupa tuns si curatat, rana pare o muscatura veche formata din doua gauri conectate (serul fiziologic bagat intr-una, a iesit pe cealalta) ce continua sa se infecteze. In urma ecografiilor si radiografiilor, s-a constatat ca Labus a fost candva operat avand o tija cu suruburi. Fractura care trebuie reparata prin fixarea tijei s-a sudat gresit, astfel au aparut depuneri de os nou ca reactie la implant si posibil, osteomielita.Labus was taken in our care to investigate the ‘wound that keeps appearing every year’ his owner told us of. 

After shaving and cleaning the wound, it seems to be an old bite wound that formed two conected holes ( the saline that went in one hole, got out the other) that keeps getting infected. As a result of the ultrasounds and xrays, Labus also has a metal plate in his leg from an old surgery that didn’t heal properly because the of the reaction of the bone to the metal. New bone deposition appeared and possibly, osteomyelitis.
Nici nu ne putem imagina in ce dureri a stat in acesti 2-3 ani cu un os fracturat si o rana infectata fara nici o vizita la medic.
Pe langa toate acestea, saracul Labus suferea si de o constipatie cronica din cauza hranirii cu oase. Astfel, am descoperit la ecograf 2 fecaloame imense ce blocau intestinul si a fost nevoie de mai multe clisme pentru a le sparge si elimina.
In ciuda durerilor si a disconfortului clismelor, Labus este in continuare un caine foarte bland care indura in liniste.
Momentan primeste antibiotic zilnic pentru eliminarea infectiei de la picior si maine vom afla ce trebuie facut in continuare, daca este nevoie de o interventie pentru situatia lui.

Va multumim inca o data pentru ajutorul dat animalutelor de care ne ocupam.
We can only imagine wht kind of pain he’s been through these 2-3 years with the infection and no medical attention.
Besides all this, poor Labus was also cronically constipated because he was fed bones.
Therefore, the ultrasound showed 2 huge fecal impactions that blocked his intestine which requiered several enemas to break and eliminate.
Despite all the pain and discomfort of the enemas, Labus is still a calm and gentle dog who suffered in silence.
He is now receiving antibiotics to cure his leg infection and we will know what needs to be done next, maybe a surgery, tomorrow when we visit the vet again.
