CAZ SPECIAL. Roscatel a fost internat azi din nouSpecial case. Red was hospitalized again

Povestea lui Roscatel incepe asa:
„Roscatel are nevoie urgenta de ajutor. E un caine fara stapan care statea de mai multa vreme prin campusul urias al Facultatii de Medicina Veterinara din Bucuresti. Din pacate nimeni nu a observat si/sau nu i-a pasat cuiva ca el e bolnav. Eu l-am vazut prima data abia pe 03.Aprilie, intr-o pauza de la ore_ sunt studenta in anul I, dar am si job in orasul Craiova deci nu puteam sa ma ocup de el in continuare. Roscatel’s story goes like this:
„Roscatel (Redhead) urgently needs help. He is a stray who used to live in the huge campus at the Veterinary Medicine Faculty in Bucharest. Unfortunately nobody seemed to notice or care that he was not well. I saw him for the first time on the 3rd of April, in a pause between classes – I’m a first year student, but I also have a job in Craiova, so I couldn’t continue to take care of him. L-am dus la Clinica Facultatii, a fost consultat si era suspect de ruptura de diafragm. A primit radiografie gratis (pt ca sunt studenta), radiologul mi-a zis ca nu pare ruptura dar are foarte mult lichid in cavitatea toracica si fiecare zi fara tratament ii scade sansele de viata.Din pacate ulterior nu s-a putut(mai curand nu s-a vrut) sa fie internat in Clinica Facultatii. Dar mi-au recomandat clinica veterinara „Ortovet”. ONG-urile din Bucuresti nu au aveau locuri libere sa-l cazeze, mi-au zis sa revin cu telefoane peste cateva zile. Eu aveam foarte putini bani la mine(si trebuia sa ma fi intors la job in orasul meu_ am amanat plecarea pt a doua zi), de aceea am reusit seara tarziu sa ajung la Ortovet, cu ajutorul unei cunostinte care are masina si m-a imprumutat de bani_ trebuie sa-i restitui banii si nu am de unde; dar nu puteam lasa cainele sa moara.
Astazi 5 aprilie i s-a facut punctie toracala si asteptam rezultatul analizelor acestui lichid.Am playit in acea seara 3.Apr. suma de 164 RON(40Eur) = cazare pe 2 zile(pana la 5 aprilie) si tratament pe o zi_doar seara respectiva + taxa de urgenta. Banii astia trebuie sa-i restitui acelei persoane si nu am de unde.
Sper ca luni 8. aprilie, cazul va fi preluat de ONG din Bucuresti, dar nu este sigur.In orice caz, luni pe 8 aprilie mai trebuie achitat 4 zile de tratament si alte 3 zile de internare, analize de sange, punctie toracala + citologie In total alti aproximativ 330 RON (adica 82 EUR).”

Si intr-adevar l-am preluat noi cu tot cu datorii. Am achitat la Ortovet 427 lei. Roscatel a fost internat mult timp apoi cand starea sanatatii lui a fost stabila a fost dus in adapost. Din nefericire lichidul toracal se reface si din cand in cand trebuie sa fie scos. Operatia in sine este extrem de riscanta. La prima punctie facuta la Ortovet Roscatel a fost la un pas de moarte. Roscatel este unul dintre cazurile pe care n-am avut ragazul sa le promovam dar acum suntem intr-o situatie financiara destul de grea si avem mare nevoie de ajutor. Avem datorii in valoare de peste 3000 lei pentru cazuri speciale si programul de sterilizari. Va rugam ajutati-ne sa ne platim datoriile asa incat sa putem continua sa ajutam animalute in impas.

Va multumim inca o data pentru ajutorul dat animalutelor de care ne ocupam.I took him to the Faculty’s Clinic, he was seen by doctors and suspected to suffer from a ruptured diaphragm. He got free radiography (as I am a student), the radiologist told me it doesn’t look like a rupture but that he has a lot of fluid in the thoracic cavity and every day without treatment is decreasing his survival chances. Unfortunately he couldn’t (or rather wouldn’t) be hospitalized in the Faculty’s Clinic. But they recommended Ortovet (a private clinic) to me. The NGOs in Bucharest didn’t have an available place to keep him, they told me to call back in a few days. I had very little money with me (and I had to go back to the job in my town, I postponed it for the next day), that’s why I arrived at Ortovet late in the evening, with the help of an acquaintance who has a car and lent me some money – now I need to pay that money back and I don’t have it, but I couldn’t let the dog die.

Today, April 5, he was given a thoracic puncture and we’re waiting for the results of the medical tests. On the 3rd of April I paid 164 RON (40 Eur) = hospitalization for two days (until April 5) and treatment for a day + emergency tax. I must give this sum back to the person who helped me and I don’t have it.
I hope that on Monday, April 8, this case would be taken over by an NGO in Bucharest, but I can’t be sure of it. Anyway, Monday, April 8, is another pay day, for 4 days of treatment and other 3 days of hospitalization, blood tests, thoracic puncture + cytology exam. In total 330 RON (82 EUR).”

And indeed we took over the case, debts included. We paid 427 RON at Ortovet. Roscatel was hospitalized for a long time and then, when he was stable, he was taken to the shelter. Unfortunately the thoracic fluid is always building up again and it needs to be removed regularly. The procedure is extremely risky in itself. He was on the verge of death at his first puncture at Ortovet. Roscatel is one of the cases we didn’t have time to promote, but now we are in a rather difficult financial situation and we desperately need help. Our debts are over 3000 RON for the special cases and the neutering program. Please help us to pay our debts so we can continue to help suffering animals.
