Duminica seara, intorcandu-ne de la adapost, un caine a fost calcat de masina chiar in fata noastra. Soferul nu a franat, nu a oprit sa vada ce s-a intamplat cu sufletul care a traversat prea incet soseaua, incercand sa o prinda din urma pe „stapana” care se ducea la magazin.
Am oprit si am incercat sa-l prindem. Ceea ce ne-a socat a fost reactia oamenilor din jur. O batranica ne-a sfatuit calduros „Da, maica, in el, da-i cu piciorul”. Cateva persoane au incercat sa-l goneasca, loveasca. Toti au vazut accidentul. ‘Stapana’ a refuzat sa ajute cu prinderea pentru ca, in viziunea ei, agonia cainelui insemna ca e turbat.Sunday evening, as we were returning from the shelter, a dog was hit by a car right in front of us. The driver didn’t slow down, nor stop to see what happened to the dog that crossed the street a bit too slow, following his owner.
We stopped and tried to catch him. What shocked us the most were the people’s reactions. An old lady kindly advised „Hit him, honey, kick him”. Others tried to shoo and kick him as well. Everyone saw the accident happen. His „ówner” refused to help us catch him because she saw the dog’s agony as sign for rabies..
L-am prins si am fost la cabinet. Cainele era in soc, urina sange si nu putea fi operat pentru ca, in starea lui, nu ar fi rezistat anesteziei si trebuia stabilizat.
A trecut noaptea si a doua zi (azi) trebuia sa mergem la ecografie si radiografie. Din pacate, nu am ajuns pana la radiografie pentru ca acest suflet chinuit si-a dat ultima suflare in masina. 

Acum esti intr-o lume mai buna.
Iarta-ne pentru ca ai fost inconjurat de rautatea si indiferenta oamenilor langa care ai crescut.

We caught him and took him to the vet. He was in shock, had peed blood and could not go into surgery in that state for he would not survive the anesthesic.
He made it through the night and we were supposed to take him to ecography and xrays. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to the x rays because he died in the car.

You are in a better world now.
Forgive us for you had been surrounded by the indifference and hatred of the people you grew up among.
Forgive us for not been able to help you more.
